London, Ontario
We are deeply saddened to share that Chris Plagianos, 63, passed away on February 26, 2026, in London, Ontario.
Chris was born on September 28, 1962, in London, Ontario, to Stavros and Eleni Plagianos.
Chris was a prominent member of London’s restaurateur community throughout his life, having owned and operated Duffy’s Cove Restaurant and Bar for over 20 years. He was also deeply involved in the local soccer community. Most notably, Chris was a member of the Apollos, Panhellenic, and Olympians soccer clubs. His love of the sport was naturally passed on to both of his children, and he never missed a chance to cheer them on from the sidelines. He was, and will forever remain, the #1 fan of Dak FC.
Anyone who met Chris will remember the warmth and kindness of his heart and the way he offered help, however he could, to anyone in need. He will also be remembered for the immense love and pride he had for his children and grandchildren. Earning the titles of “Dad” and “Pappou” were truly his proudest achievements.
Chris will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Predeceased by his parents, Stavros and Eleni Plagianos, Chris is survived by his children, Steven (Michelle) Plagianos and Eleni (Jonathan) Curtis; and his two grandchildren, Ryan and Avery Curtis. He is also survived by his sister, Patty (Niko) Papaspyridakos (née Plagianos); and his niece and nephew, Aphrodite and Leonidas Papaspyridakos. Chris is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Eastside Bar and Grill, from 12-3pm. 750 Hamilton road, London, Ontario.

Chris was a kind hearted man who was loved by many. I was lucky to know him and his family from playing soccer for Panhellenic. Every one on the team loved him as he took care of all of us like a father. Rest in peace Plagy. Thanks for being my friend.❤️
