Kind words from the families we’ve had the honour to serve
I was introduced to Roberta through a mutual friend, and I’m so grateful for that connection. When the time came that I needed her professional services as a funeral director, she provided truly outstanding care. Roberta handled everything with compassion, dignity, and an incredible attention to detail.
She made a very difficult time much easier by guiding us through the process with patience and understanding. Her kindness and professionalism stood out in every interaction, and I can’t thank her enough for the comfort and support she offered. I would wholeheartedly recommend Roberta to anyone in need of her services.
With warm regards,

I’m writing this letter to let you know that Roberta has been an absolute pleasure to work with over the past 18 months. Both my parents had gone downhill quickly after they had been moved from Dorchester to Georgetown. Not long after the move, we thought that it would be best to have a plan set to bring them back to London upon their deaths.
After contacting and researching funeral homes in the Georgetown area, we decided to reach out to Roberta MacNeil, Funeral Director. Her kindness and professionalism made me feel very comfortable in moving forward with pre-arranging arrangements. She took so much time explaining everything in detail.
We lost both my parents within eight months—Mom in June 2020, and Dad in February 2021. With COVID in the mix at both of their deaths, it was definitely not easy. The transfer of both my parents back to London was done so timely and with such professionalism (according to the staff and family members who were in Georgetown)—all arranged by Roberta. The ease and flow of paperwork that was completed by Roberta was very much appreciated. I don’t know how I would have managed it without her.
We, as a family, feel so blessed to have had the interactions of such an outstanding, caring professional. You are a shining star working in your midst. Thank you to Roberta for making a sad situation in these trying times into one of gratitude and blessings.
Sincerely,
Steve Crowe and Michele Crowe
Dear Roberta,
The care that we received during our mourning for Dad was extraordinary. Everyone is called to do a specific job in life, and you have definitely been called to be a funeral director. Your care for the fine details was awesome. I personally felt a connection to you as a person who felt loss with us. All the little details, such as a chair by the casket at the graveside, made it so much easier on Mom — and she was so grateful. Anytime we had a question or concern … Roberta was there. You are truly a blessing and a very caring person. On behalf of all of us in the Romphf family, thank you so much.

I have known Roberta for about three years. I met her when I decided to make my funeral arrangements after a friend had recommended her to me. Roberta impressed me right away with her extensive knowledge of the funeral business and her apparent experience with people. Perhaps, more importantly, I was a newcomer to London. She drew me in with her kindness and her willingness to listen to my story. Then, Roberta surprised me by inviting me for coffee and exploring some of the city. To sum up, she was the right person for me to help me through a stressful time in my life. What she did for me shows her heart and willingness to go the extra mile for her clients.

I have known Roberta since 2010 when we met through a mutual acquaintance. Since that time, I have found her to be a very caring and compassionate woman. She is very professional and empathetic when it comes to her work. She has a sincere desire to help her clients and goes out of her way to ensure that they understand the intricacies of the myriad forms and application processes that have to be navigated. She brings clarity and calmness to a family at a time it is most needed.
Roberta’s desire to ensure that her clients receive the best advice and care are some of her strongest traits. She is meticulous in her handling of the requisite paperwork and ensures that everything is submitted in a timely manner and is both complete and thorough. This spares families from revisiting or having to resubmit forms, which brings its own anguish and frustration. She is passionate about her work and this is clearly evident when you first meet her. She makes the families’ well being her only priority and she maintains this throughout her interaction with the family and beyond.

Dear Roberta,
I would like to thank you for being so thorough in handling my mom, husband, myself, and my two sisters’ pre-need planning. From the very first meeting to arrange our pre-needs, every detail was handled with such dignity and care. You made sure that everything was taken care of, being so patient in explaining everything to us and answering all our questions. You made sure that we will have no concerns when dealing with at-need care, allowing us to focus on grieving the loss of our loved one.
Funeral directors play a very meaningful role during one of life’s hardest moments. When my husband passed, your kindness, professionalism, compassion, patience, and understanding helped me through the most difficult time of my life. Losing my husband was very painful, but your continued support helped ease our pain and allowed us to focus on honouring my husband’s memory.
My family and I will always be grateful to you for the care and respect you showed us — not only as a funeral director, but as a person who truly sympathizes with and cares about the families who come to you during the most difficult times of their lives.
My family and I will always be grateful for everything you have done for us and for your continued, ongoing support.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
- Angie
