For over 65 years GFD has provided Canadian families with security, transparency, and peace of mind by safeguarding their funds for preplanned and prepaid funeral arrangements. GFD ensures rigorous oversight and compliance, providing families with confidence that their funds are managed responsibly and transparently.
When you prepay for your services, Thames Valley Cremation Services Inc. are the trustee of the funds and we place the funds in trust with GFD. These funds are administered and invested though GFD in secure, interest-bearing accounts or GICs, as required by Ontario law. Your funds remain held in trust until the “time-of-need” (the death of the beneficiary), ensuring the services you selected are delivered (as preplanned), regardless of future price increases. Funds are only released to us, the funeral provider, when services are provided.

Once GFD receives your payment, they will issue the purchaser a Trust Certificate.

Whether you’re traveling across Canada or exploring the world, the Guaranteed Travel Assurance Plan (GTAP) can provide valuable protection for you and your family. If a death occurs while away from home, GTAP helps coordinate the necessary arrangements and assist with returning the deceased, helping reduce unexpected expenses and easing the burden on your loved one during a difficult time.
A one-time lifetime membership fee of $525.00 (Including HST), provides protection for future travel, giving you and your family added peace of mind wherever life takes you.
You do not have to pre-arrange to purchase GTAP.
