Obituary

Stephen Mark McPhee passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on February 21, 2026 at the age of 64.

Stephen will be missed dearly by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a father to Tara Kupiers and a proud grandfather to Conner, Everett (Easton), Ryerson, Ashton, and Brittany (McCartney). His grandchildren brought him great joy and pride.

Beloved son of Donald McPhee and the late Donna McPhee, Stephen was one of five siblings. He was a loving brother to Rod (Starla), Sue, Clay (Sherri), and Theresa. Stephen was deeply loved by his brothers and sisters, who will forever cherish the memories they shared growing up and throughout the years. He held a special place in their lives and will be remembered with love.

He was a cherished uncle to the late Tarra and to Genai, Ashley, Kristine, Jessie, Leanna, and Brandon. His presence in their lives will be remembered with warmth and affection.

Stephen had a lifelong love of computers and cars. He had a curious and analytical mind and enjoyed taking computers apart and rebuilding them. Music was another great passion. Growing up in the era of the 60s and 70s, he built an impressive music collection and found comfort and joy in the songs that shaped a generation.

Stephen’s quiet strength and steady love for his family will be remembered always.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre at London Health Sciences Centre would be appreciated.

Goodbye

Good-bye my family, my life has passed,
I loved you all to the very last.
Weep not for me, but courage take,
Love each other, for my sake.
For those you love don't go away -
They walk beside you
Everyday!

I will always miss the ten year old, who would rather miss the movie, and stay home to help me, fixing up the old house on Piccadilly Street.
I'll always miss the full grown man who would spend hours on the phone, walking me through my latest screw-up on my computer.
I will always miss you Steve.

So sad to hear the news about Steve. Our family's grew up together in the 60's and often visited each other. Always fun times with the McPhee family. My condolences to the family. Rest easy my friend. Hope there's a car show going on blasting some tunes for ya.

I miss you already Stevie. It’s pretty quiet around here without you. Not sure who I’m going to nag at now. All my love. Your baby sister. Xo
