Dieles has left us, peacefully, just eight months shy of his stated goal to live to be 100 years old.
He is predeceased by younger sister At and survived by younger brother Ben in Holland. In Canada, he is survived by Linda and predeceased by wives Jane and Ruth. He is also survived by son Dale (Marlene), son Jan, daughter Ria and son Ben (Wendy); grandchildren Meaghan (Jerome), Matthew (Emily), Bobbi (Mike) and Jen, great-grandchildren Benjamin, Wesley, Brendan, Marissa, Maria and Talayna, great-great-granddaughter Rain and great-great-grandson Myles. He also found a great friend in step granddaughter Dawn when he came to London to live with Dale and Marlene.
A true jack of all trades, Dieles worked in an oil refinery in Holland before moving his family to Canada in 1960. Through his life, he’s sold fruits and vegetables door to door, been a farmhand, a butcher, a variety store and rooming house owner and later in life did demolition and sold used building materials.
A love of dancing resulted in Dieles finding Linda after he moved to London and they enjoyed many trips before COVID and poor health grounded him.
Dieles has been cremated and will join soulmate Ruth in Black Creek Cemetery near Sarnia. Arrangements entrusted to Thames Valley Cremation Services.
A true jack of all trades!

My father taught me many lessons, some that took me many years to learn, some I still have yet to grasp, but the one I hold dearest is, while we traveled anywhere by car, if a song started playing and I sang along, he would turn up the radio and pause the conversation until the song ended, or I stopped singing, where the conversation continued mid step. This love for music was instilled in us all, and shared by us all too. And that's why I call him, "The Leader of the Band" stolen yes, no, maybe borrowed, and "Papa I don't think I said I love you near enough!" Love you dad, Ben and Wendy!
