Date of Birth: June 21, 1986
Date of Passing: April 21, 2026
It is with profound grief and sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Michelle Moffatt on April 21, 2026, two months before her 40th birthday.
Since she came into our lives at 7 months of age, Michelle has been loved by all who knew her. A compassionate and caring person, she loved animals, especially her cat "Pudpud", the many babies born into her extended family, and nature in general.
Michelle will be deeply missed by her father (Mike), her mother (Lynn), her brother (Tyler), her stepmom (Kim), stepsisters (Kaity, Krissy, Kelly, Klaire), her birth mother (Diane), birth sisters ( Kimberly, Genesis, Danielle), many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews and other family members who loved her. Her closest friend, Denise, will have a huge void to fill in her life.
Michelle loved to fish but the "big one" always got away. She thoroughly enjoyed all her time at her 'happy place' in Turnbull's Grove and her several years in the scouting movement, becoming an active Rover in her later years. Following the New York Rangers was one of her favourite pastimes (rarely missing a televised game) and she often chatted both during and after the games with another big time fan, her dad. Unfortunately, she never got to see a game in the Big Apple but she did watch them live in Detroit several years ago.
Michelle's family asks that she be remembered for all the joy she brought to others not the emptiness caused by her passing.
A private celebration of life will be held in the near future.
Donations to Atlohsa Family Healing Services would be appreciated.

Sincerest condolences to Michelle's family.
Michelle and I were good friends along with Denise as kids when we went to Riverside Public school and Oakridge High-school. She started her scouting journey with me and we often went to cub scout meetings together blaring New Kids On The Block in the car every time on the way there. I have a lot of fond memories of her from throughout my childhood and teenage years but unfortunately we only spoke every few years or so after high school. I will still always remember her fun loving spirirt. I hope she is at peace.

Such touching photos of a beautiful life cut short far too soon.
We are deeply saddened to hear about the loss of your daughter, Michelle. There are no words that can ease the pain of something so profound. Please know that all of you are in our thoughts.
We hope you can find comfort in the memories you shared and in the people around you who love and care about you. If there’s anything at all we can do—whether it’s to listen or help with something small, remember you do not have to go though this alone.
With heartfelt sympathy,
