It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William (Bill) Bradley Reid, a beloved husband, father, Papa, brother, and friend.
Bill was the cherished soulmate of his wife, Sheila Reid (née Kearney), with whom he shared a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, adventure, and countless memories. He was a proud father to Stephanie Reid and Nicole Hexter (Matt), and a devoted and loving Papa to Grayson and Sophia. His family was his greatest source of pride and joy.
Bill enjoyed a long and successful career as a Sales Representative with Hostess/Frito-Lay, where he built many lasting friendships along the way. But beyond his career, Bill will be remembered most for the way he lived his life—with enthusiasm, generosity, and a wonderful sense of romance and adventure.
He loved to travel and treasured the opportunity to experience new places, especially when he could share those adventures with the people he loved. One particularly special trip was to Ireland, where Bill travelled with Sheila, Stephanie, and Nicole and had the joy of meeting and spending time with family. It was a trip filled with connection, laughter, and memories that his family will cherish forever.
Bill also loved creating special moments closer to home. One memorable outing was attending a Blue Jays game with Sheila and his daughters, something he was genuinely happy to experience together as a family.
And then there was The Beatles. Bill's love for the band was no secret to anyone who knew him. Their music was a constant part of his life and will forever be intertwined with the memories of him.
Bill was a true romantic. Every so often, he would surprise Sheila by picking her up from work for what she thought would be a simple “lunch date.” Instead, she would discover that Bill had planned an entire weekend getaway to Toronto, complete with dinner and a play. These spontaneous surprises captured Bill perfectly—thoughtful, playful, and always looking for a way to make life a little more special for the woman he loved.
He also enjoyed evenings at the casino, game nights surrounded by friends, and karaoke. And whenever the microphone was in his hand, Sheila could count on being serenaded with “Your Song” by Elton John—one of the many little ways Bill made sure she knew just how much she meant to him.
Bill will be deeply missed by Sheila, Stephanie, Nicole and Matt, Grayson and Sophia, his older brother Barry and sister-in-law Sue, as well as his extended family and many friends whose lives were brighter because he was in them.
He was predeceased by his mother, Margaret, his father, Frank, and his younger brother, Frank Jr.
Bill leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, music, friendship, family, and a lifetime of beautiful memories. He will live on in the stories we tell, the songs we hear, the adventures we remember, and most of all, in the love he gave so freely to those around him.
“And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make.”
He will be loved, remembered, and missed always.
Visitors will be received at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 2001 Dundas Street, London, on Thursday, September 17th, 2026 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
On Friday, September 18th, 2026 a memorial service will be held at 1 p.m.
Family and friends are warmly invited to share a favourite story, or message about Bill on the Memory Wall below.
He will live on in the stories we tell.
A Legacy of Love and a Lifetime of Beautiful Memories.

I'm very grateful to have had known Bill and to have had him be a part of my life. Bill and Sheila opened their home to me when I was a teen any time I showed up. they let me stay there even while Nicole went to work, after we had a sleep over the night before, so I could wait out her shift just so that we could hangout more after, and probably have another sleep over. The countless times they fed me, taught me something new, or were just there as listening ears was never lost on me, especially looking back on my life during that age. I'm thankful to have had an amazing friend who has amazing parents who cared and treated all of her close friends like their own family. Bill's girls were everything to him, and them being happy brought him true happiness. I will never be able to put into words how incredible of a man he was, but I'm very thankful that he had a part in my life. He will be missed beyond measure.

27 years of being your daughters bestfriend meant I inherited the best second family. Bill you will be missed by so many. I'm so happy to have the amount of memories I do and will cherish. You were such a proud father, husband and papa. thank you for never saying no to another sleep over as we tried hiding each other under your stairs, the amount of nights staying up late singing karaoke or card nights or dinner nights.
Rest in the sweetest peace bill, I'll miss you

I have personally known Bill for over 50 years. He was like a second son to me...he was a wonderful man and a great friend to my kids Chris Cosier and Cathy Popovic. I am devastated to hear this news as he was way too young. I'm sure God knows what a gem he now has in heaven. Rest in Peace my love.😓

Bill and I were friends back in our high school years. I met Sheila while also working at Diesel Division GM Locomotive. Bill actually introduced me to Donna Reid, his cousin, in March of 1987. We married 3 years later and have been together ever since. RIP my friend

I have many warm memories of seeing Bill come into crabbies to support Nicole at work. Chatting with us from the bar side, having drinks with us after work. I can still remember like it was yesterday meeting Nicole's parents for the first time and how kind and welcoming they both were. Bill had a way of always making you feel at home. I can still remember coming over to Nicole's house frequently after work, we would order dominos and sit and watch tv, and her dad came out and made fun of us for ordering pizza again. Its the little memories, Bill doing karaoke, the way his eyes lit up when he was around his grand kids and the bond he shared with Matt. How proud he was of Nicole and Steph. How you could see the love he had for his family, pour out of him and light up in his eyes. Bill was an incredible father, to all. His loving, kind, selfless nature and the way he was so full of life will continue to live on in his kids and in his grand kids. Rest in peace Bill. You will be so terribly missed. Xo
